Assistant Town Clerk Wanted

Three-hour work week plus serving as acting town clerk when so designated (15 – 20 full days per year). The goal is to train a new assistant and support them in the process of obtaining their certification so that they are qualified to run for town clerk and take over the office after the 2025 municipal election. This is a long-term position. The assistant must live in Cornwall. The job includes performing clerical duties in recording vital statistics, land records, election information and other records and issuing licenses and permits. Interested persons must obtain State of Connecticut certification as a Municipal Clerk within four (4) years of hire.
