It was a big year for the newly revamped Cornwall Website, which received over 76k sessions in 2021! This is a 135% increase from last year, and more than double the traffic compared to subsequent years. With visitors from far and wide, 42% of the traffic was from Connecticut including 886 users from Cornwall. As part of the best of Cornwall series, we are breaking it down and showing you the most popular posts, pages, videos, and images in 2021. Thanks for all your support!
Top 2021 Community Posts
The Cornwall Artists Open Studio topped the list this year with over 750 page views, which is very Cornwall. The municipal election results were also very popular along with a piece titled: “Standing on the Shoulders of Giants” in memory of John Miller. The Covered Bridge was also a popular topic this year including an incident in July where the bridge was damaged. Cornwall was also a-buzz in July with the smoke from the Western Wildfires and Hurricane Henri in August, which lost its punch after making landfall in eastern CT/ Rhode Island. 2021 also included a touching story about a life saved in Cornwall along with some nostalgia like the Barns of Cornwall and remembering the Great Flood of 55. Our four footed friends also made their way to the top spots as well.
