We have been made aware of a recent scam targeting members of our community regarding town permits. Scammers may attempt to contact you via email, posing as officials or representatives of local organizations. They may ask for personal information or money.
Please remember:
- Never share personal or financial information with unknown individuals.
- Verify the identity of anyone claiming to represent a business or government agency by inspecting the email address of the sender.
- Report any suspicious activity to local authorities immediately.
Note: wetlands.cornwallct@usa.com is not a valid email address for the town. All valid town emails addresses use the @cornwallct.gov format.
