On Saturday November 21 at 4:00pm via Zoom, CCT presents a talk by Dr. David Foster on Humility: Insights from the History, Ecology, and Conservation of the New England Landscape.
Dr. Foster’s talk will emphasize the need to conserve land as possible and the opportunities for stewarding land with the least possible intervention. He will draw from his personal experience working and spending free time on Connecticut farms as a youth, and then his long career exploring, understanding, and conserving forests, farmlands, and communities across the region.
Dr. Foster is Director Emeritus at the Harvard Forest, President Emeritus of the Highstead Foundation, and ecologist, author and advocate to advance conservation and resilience in New England.
