Author Talk: John Tauranac – Library
September 20 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm EDT
John Tauranac will give an illustrated talk on some of the stories from his most recent book, New York’s Scoundrels, Scalawags, and Scrappers: The City in the Last Decade of the Gilded Age, stories that are “always fascinating,” says Kent Barwick, the former chair, NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission and president emeritus of the Municipal Art Society. Books by Tauranac include Manhattan’s Little Secrets: Uncovering Mysteries in Brick and Mortar, Glass and Stone, the three editions of New York From the Air, with the great aerial photographer, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, and The Empire State Building: The Making of a Landmark.
