Election Day – Town Hall
Elections will be held on Tuesday, November 4 at the Town Hall, 24 Pine Street from 6 AM to 8 PM to cast votes for First Selectman, Selectman, Town Clerk, Treasurer, Board of Finance, Board of Education, Board of Assessment Appeals, Planning & Zoning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals. Voting tabulators will be used. Absentee ballots will be counted at the polls.
Absentee ballots will be available after October 3 Town Clerk hours are Monday –Thursday from 9–noon and 1–4. Please don’t wait until the last minute to apply for your absentee ballot, especially if there is mailing involved. Completed application can be placed in the designated secure drop box outside the town clerk’s office or mailed. Completed ballots can also be placed in the drop box or mailed. Ballots must be received by the Town Clerk by 8 PM on election day. Do not take your absentee ballot to the polling place on Election Day. The town clerk must submit the ballots to the polling place.
Early Voting at Town Hall starts on October 20 and runs daily through November 2 from 10-6 PM except October 28 and 30 where hours are 8-8 PM.
The deadline to register by mail or online is Oct 17. The Registrars will have a registration session Oct 17 from 9 AM-8 PM. Same Day Registration is available during Early Voting and on Election Day.
