UPDATE: 12/24 8 AM
Hello,
At 8 AM Saturday there are over 200 Eversource customers without power with the temperature near 0. Unfortunately, the outage numbers went up last night as the temperatures fell. The Town has reported 27 separate incidents of needed repairs with Eversource. Three utility crews are en route currently to work on the outages which are scattered around Town, mostly at the higher elevations. It is important that residents file individual outage reports at the Eversource website or by calling 1 800 286 2000.
Thanks for helping your neighbors.

12/23/22 3PM

Hello,
As of 3 pm this afternoon we are starting to see strong winds from the west and rapidly falling temperatures that are expected for tonight. There are still trees down on wires throughout Town posing a danger as most powerlines are live. The Highway Department, Fire, and EMS have been out all day checking road issues and responding to calls. Please keep travel to a minimum as roads could get rapidly worse with the expected 30-degree temperature drop. We will continue to push Eversource to respond to the downed powerlines here. Also, the Covered Bridge in West Cornwall did sustain heavy damage this noontime and will be closed for a while. Storm updates will be posted on this website and on the Cornwall Emergency Management Facebook page. Outage information can be found on Eversources website. Please stay safe and have a wonderful Holiday season. We are thankful for people helping their neighbors.
