State of CT Public Hearing Alert
Planning & Development Committee – Friday, March 5
The Planning and Development Committee will be holding a public hearing on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 10:00 am via Zoom. The public hearing can be viewed via YouTube Live and will be broadcasted live on CT-N.com.
Individuals who wish to testify via Zoom must register using the On-line Testimony Registration Form. The registration form must contain the name of the person who will be testifying, and a unique email address must be provided for each person registered to speak.
Registration will close on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 3:00 pm and speaker order will be listed in a randomized order.

• HB-6540 – An act requiring a study of municipal separate storm sewer system stormwater sampling requirements.
• would require the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection to conduct a study of municipal separate storm sewer system stormwater sampling requirements.
• HB-6542 – An act concerning municipal restrictions on pet shops
• would clarify that a municipality may enact or enforce an ordinance to place certain obligations or restrictions on pet shops.
• SB-961 – An act concerning certain sewage disposal systems and alternative sewage treatment systems.
• would increase to then thousand gallons per day the maximum capacity of certain subsurface sewage disposal systems and alternative on-site sewage treatment systems over which the Department of Public Health has jurisdiction.
• SB-968 – An act concerning foreclosure, assignment and other enforcement actions for unpaid sewer assessments and other fees and charges.
• would prohibit the foreclosure, assignment, and other enforcement actions for unpaid sewer assessment and other fees and charges in the case o owner-occupied real property for which the principal of such unpaid assessments, fees, and charges is less than $10,000.
