Cornwall Library CIPA Public Meeting – Zoom
The Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) is a federal law enacted by Congress to address concerns about access to offensive content over the Internet on school and library computers. CIPA imposes certain types of requirements on any school or library that receives funding for Internet access or internal connections from the E-rate program – a program that makes certain communications technology more affordable for eligible schools and libraries. In early 2001, the FCC issued rules implementing CIPA. The Cornwall Library has recently received funding for internet services and therefore must hold a public hearing on CIPA and the Library’s internet protection policy for children.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 6pm via Zoom. Use this link to attend: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85889411208?pwd=aEk0UXRVdDFtVzE5dmZKM2gvWngzdz0.
