It’s big enough to encompass some massive fault lines. And it’s ambitious enough to hold them together. (Almost.) How does an atheist write about a Christian heroine? How does one of the leading intellectuals of her day write the story of rural people? How does Mary Ann Evans become George Eliot? In this eight-week slow-walk, we’ll answer these and many more questions. Read slow. Stick with us so that we’re reading together. Let’s make this a group project to explore this fine piece of art.
