01/17/2023 – The repairs have been completed and the covered bridge is back open.
CT DOT has reported that as of 5 PM today, January 6th the Covered Bridge in West Cornwall will be closed only during work times of Monday – Thursday from 7 AM to 5 PM. It will be open during the weekend and evening times. Updates will be posted on the DOT’s portable signs at the West Cornwall Firehouse and other locations. We appreciate your patience, cooperation and DOT’s effort to repair the substantial damage in a timely manner.
