John Burnham Schwartz (author, editor and Merwin’s stepson) and Robert Becker (author and former president of the Merwin Conservancy on Maui) will hold an intimate conversation about the two-time Pulitzer Prize winning poet, US Poet Laureate and environmental activist W.S. Merwin and his relationship with France, Hawaii and the importance of place in his work.
