Books and Blooms ~ George Schoellkopf – Hollister House Garden: 40 Years in the Making – Zoom
George Schoellkopf will talk about the creation and evolution of his garden which surrounds an 18th century house and barns in Washington, Connecticut and was purchased by him in 1978. Inspired by such famous English gardens as Sissinghurst, Great Dixter, and Hidcote, the garden he has created has evolved into a uniquely American synthesis of formal structure and naturalistic planting. Considered to be one of the most beautiful gardens in the Northeast, Hollister house is now a nonprofit organization and open to the general public.
This is a three day event to benefit The Cornwall Library.
