DESCRIPTION:On August 26 at 10 am Peter Del Tredici will be leading a walk up the Day Preserve Trail. This walk is a fascinating “Transect through a Diversity of Habitats” created by glacial geology. The open forest supports a paradise for ferns\, a pine plantation\, and historically\, wood lots and charcoal pits. It will be a cool walk on an August day\, with a consistently moderately steep climb. Be tick savvy too. Meet at the entrance just downhill from the Little Guild. Check our website for updates.
