Run time: 42 minutes \nSynopsis: Now in his nineties\, the kinetic sculptor Tim Prentice looks back on his career and the influences that shaped him\, including his fascination with the wind; the artists Alexander Calder and George Rickey; his time at Yale studying with Joseph Albers; his father\, who was an architect of note and aspiring craftsperson; and his loss of vision to macular degeneration. In the film\, he talks about how these influences and his own preconceptions crowd around him when he’s in his studio\, and his attempt to be alone as he strives to create an “ideal” work that\, like nature\, expresses at once both chaos and order. DESCRIPTION:Elections will be held on Tuesday\, November 5 at the Town Hall\, 24 Pine Street from 6 A.M. to 8 P.M. to cast votes for President\, Vice President\, U.S. Senator\, Representative in Congress\, State Senator\, State Representative and Registrars of Voters. \nThere will also be a question on the ballot for approval or disapproval of a proposed amendment to the Constitution of Connecticut that would allow for no-excuse absentee voting\, allowing any voter to request a mail-in ballot. \nAbsentee ballots will be available after October 4. Town Clerk hours are Monday –Thursday from 9–noon and 1–4. Please don’t wait until the last minute to apply for your absentee ballot\, especially if there is mailing involved. They must be returned by 8 P.M. on election day. \nEarly Voting at Town Hall starts on October 21 and runs daily through Oct 28 from 10-6 P.M. except October 29 and 31 where hours are 8-8 P.M. \nThe Registrars will conduct a registration session on October 1 from 9-11 A.M. The deadline to register by mail or online is October 18. The Registrars will have a registration session October 18 from 9-8 P.M. Same Day Registration is available during Early Voting.
