DESCRIPTION:The Cornwall Library will offer two weeks of summer camp for Cornwall children. The camps will be held the week of July 25 – 29 and August 15 – 19 from 9am until 5pm.  We plan lots of interesting programming plus plenty of time outdoors\, reading\, and free time. Camp size is limited to 12 children. The fee is $150. The camp is intended for children who live in Cornwall and will attend camp for most of the week.  Applications will be accepted starting April 1.  Please email cornwalllibraryya@gmail.com to request an application\, which will be considered on a first-come\, first-served basis with some adjustments for a balance of age and interests.  Scholarships are available.

He represents a culture that had survived 5000 years and sees no reason to change. \nEmily Waters is an artist and teacher living in Brooklyn. She was raised on a farm in Illinois with 8 siblings. She was educated at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Basel\, Switzerland and has worked in the graphic design department of the Museum of Modern Art and the Guggenheim Museum. For the past several years\, she has taught 2D Design at Cooper Union and Drawing/Imaging at Parsons in New York City.

Shelley helped secure over two million dollars in grant funding to conserve over 450 acres of forest and farmland\, enrolling 375 acres in the Wildlands Partnership of the Northeast Wilderness Trust. Her work has ensured the long-term future of CCT and the preservation of Cornwall’s forests and farmland.

DESCRIPTION:Primaries of both the Republican and Democratic Parties will be held on Tuesday\, August 9\, 2022. The Democratic Primary will be for the nominations of Secretary of the State and Treasurer. The Republican Primary will be for the nominations of U.S. Senator and Secretary of the State. Only registered Democrats and Republicans are eligible to vote in primaries. Polls will be open from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM\, at the Cornwall Town Hall\, 24 Pine Street. Absentee ballot applications are available on the website under “forms” or by contacting the Town Clerk at townclerk@cornwallct.gov or by calling (860) 672-2709. The secure ballot drop box is now unlocked. Applications and completed ballots can be deposited into the drop box 24 hours a day or can be mailed. Absentee ballots are available in person from the Town Clerk’s Office\, Monday through Thursday from 9 – noon and 1 – 4.

DESCRIPTION:The Cornwall Library will offer two weeks of summer camp for Cornwall children. The camp will be held the week of August 15 – 19 from 9am until 5pm.  We plan lots of interesting programming plus plenty of time outdoors\, reading\, and free time. Camp size is limited to 12 children. The fee is $150. The camp is intended for children who live in Cornwall and will attend camp for most of the week.  Applications will be accepted starting April 1.  Please email cornwalllibraryya@gmail.com to request an application\, which will be considered on a first-come\, first-served basis with some adjustments for a balance of age and interests.  Scholarships are available.

DESCRIPTION:“The Autobiography of James Mars\, a Slave Born and Sold in Connecticut” is a puppet piece created by Robert Bresnick and Leslie Weinberg. The words spoken by the narrator are an edited text of the first half of the Mars autobiography\, ending at the point at which James is sold and walks by himself\, aged 8\, to Mr. Munger’s farm. The performance uses a tabletop stage and projected and animated backgrounds and shadow play\, as well as collaged paper puppets manipulated by two puppeteers. Recommended for ages 9 and older. This event is free\, but space is limited to 45 attendees. Registration is required.
