DESCRIPTION:Notice is hereby given that Primaries of both the Republican and Democratic Parties will be held on Tuesday\, August 11\, 2026. The Democratic Primary will be for the nominations of the Governor. The Republican Primary will be for Representative in Congress. \nEarly Voting will start on Aug 3 and run through August 9. Hours 10 AM to 6 PM Aug 3\,5\,7\,8 and 9. Aug 4 and 6 hours are 8AM to 8PM. Only registered Democrats or Republicans can vote in primaries. Primary day is August 11\, voting hours are from 6 AM to 8 PM. \nAbsentee ballots will be available during regular Town Clerk hours. Ballots must be returned by 8 PM on Primary Day. \nAbsentee ballots are available at https://portal.ct.gov/sots/election-services/voter-information/2026-absentee-voting—updates-and-information or in person during Town Clerk’s office hours. The secure ballot drop box is now unlocked. Applications and completed ballots can be deposited into the drop box 24 hours a day or can be mailed.
