Ingrid Ellen\, The Paulette Goddard Professor of Urban Policy and Planning at New York University\, will moderate a panel discussion among Jocelyn Ayer\, Director\, Litchfield County Center for Housing Opportunity\, Ginni Block\, Chair\, Cornwall Housing Corporation\, Heidi Cunnick\, Chair\, Cornwall Conservation Commission\, Bart Jones\, President\, Cornwall Conservation Trust\, and Anna Timell\, Chair\, Cornwall Planning & Zoning Commission. The panel will answer questions about facts and issues around conservation and affordable housing in Cornwall.  Their goal will be to give residents a better understanding of how both of these important parts of life in Cornwall can be made to work in concert towards a common goal. \nFor the link see cornwallconservationtrust.org and the required registration.

DESCRIPTION:Inaugural Annual Literary Benefit: The Cornwall Library’s first annual literary fundraiser will celebrate the 155th birthday of Georgia O’Keeffe. This will feature a slide lecture by Roxana Robinson entitled\, “Georgia O’Keeffe: Reading the Work as the Life.” Robinson will show works that illuminate the artist’s life and reveal the stylistic development of one of America’s greatest modernist painters. Robinson is the author of the biography\, “Georgia O’Keeffe: A Life.” A signed copy of her book will be included in the fee for in-person attendance. November 12 at 4:00. \nSo bring your friends\, feast on O’Keeffe’s ravishing work\, and stay for the festive reception. Enjoy birthday cake\, wine and conversation as you support the Cornwall Library and its Literary Programs. \nThe event will be both in-person and on zoom. It will not be recorded. The fee for in-person attendance (and a signed book) is $155. The fee for zoom is $50 (no book). Signed copies of the book can be bought at the Library in person – sorry\, no mailing!
