SUMMARY:"Honoring Nature" Opening Reception - UCC Parish House
DESCRIPTION:“Honoring Nature\,” an exhibit of paintings by Treasa Pattison\, will be shown at the UCC Parish House from April 3rd thru May 22nd.  The paintings were inspired by and are a memorial to the glorious legacy trees that no longer stand at Housatonic Meadows State Park.  The Opening Reception will be on Sunday\, April 3rd at 11:30 a.m.  All are welcome!  In addition\, the show may be viewed weekdays 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.\, Sundays 10 a.m. until noon (except April 10)\, and by appointment with the artist (860-218-0246).

DESCRIPTION:Anne E.  Fernald is the author of Virginia Woolf: Feminism and the Reader (2006)\, editor of the Cambridge University Press Mrs. Dalloway (2014)\, and is Professor of English and Women’s\, Gender\, and Sexuality Studies at Fordham University.  Her most recent book is The Oxford Handbook of Virginia Woolf Scholars\,  a collection of 39 essays about Virginia Woolf\, including one by Roxana Robinson.   \nRoxana Robinson is an author\, professor\, environmentalist\, and a scholar of American paintings. She has written six novels\, three collections of short stories\, and a biography of Georgia O’Keeffe. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker\, The New York Times\, Vogue\, The Washington Post\, The Nation\, and elsewhere.
