SUMMARY:Composting for the Backyard Gardener
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Robert Lavorgna\, UCONN Advanced Master Gardener 2024\, UCONN Certified Master Composter 2024\, UCONN Certified Master Gardener 2022 \nMr. Lavorgna has taught “Composting for the Backyard Gardener” a multi-week class for the OLLI program at UCONN Waterbury Branch; mentored students at the UCONN Master Gardener Program; presented and discussed gardening and composting in many locations throughout northwestern Connecticut; presented Composting Basics at the Simsbury Sustainability Fair; and was a Garden Associate at White Flower Farm assisting in design\, selection and care of plants. There will be three model composters on view at the event\, two of which (a countertop electric and a wooden slat bin compost) will be given away in a drawing at the Ag Fair in September.
