The Cornwall Internet Committee believes every Cornwall resident and business should have reliable, affordable, and high speed internet service. People are working from home, schooling at home, communicating and being entertained through the internet, and young families and businesses are requiring high speed internet service.
A high-priority goal of Cornwall’s 2020 Town Plan of Conservation and Development is for “a plan to enhance broadband, cell, and internet services as an economic strategy, while maintaining optimum health standards”. Our cable system is nearly saturated with data flow, and a fiber optic network will provide both faster-speeds and nearly limitless capacity. To date our internet providers have not given our town a definitive plan nor timeline to install a fiber network.
